Deus Ex: Mankind Divided trailer shows off amazing abilities, silky smooth voice actin:-
Dubbed “Adam Jensen 2.0.,” the trailer focuses on the progression of protagonist Adam Jensen from the previous game, Human Revolution. Realizing the danger of a world filled with augmented humans, society has turned against Jensen and his kind, which leaves plenty of room for one of actor Elias Toufexis’ famous monologues.
“I used to know what tomorrow looked like — before the world split in two. Everything changed then, including me,” Jensen states in his usual cold, determined tone. “They made me what I am: a high-end weapon.”
The trailer also offers a quick look at some of Adam’s new equipment, including the Tesla, which delivers the expected burst of electricity to eliminate groups of enemies, as well as the Nanoblade, a concealed melee device that can also be used for quiet, seemingly spring-load ranged attacks.
“It takes a weapon who chooses to believe a better future is possible … if I can survive long enough to see it.”
Toufexis’ voice is actually so distinct that he was removed as the lead in Far Cry 3 for fear of confusion with his other characters. That hasn’t stopped him from being cast in the upcoming Far Cry Primal, however, which happens to release on the same day as Mankind Divided.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided isn’t the only upcoming game exploring augmented operatives, however. Call of Duty: Black Ops III, which releases in just two weeks, focuses on the conflict between cybernetic soldiers and robots, and allows you to take control of enemy robots or release a swarm of drones. The similarity between the two games was not lost on the official Deus Ex Twitter account, which posted this shortly after Black Ops III was announced.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided arrives to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on February 23. While Square Enix had previously planned a confusing pre-order program that could see the game released early, it has since been scrapped.
